Miller Creek Cemetery

The cemetery is located on Highway 290 East, 9 miles South East of Johnson City TX.
In 1862 Jacob Felp’s youngest daughter died and he buried her on his place. Soon after he donated one acre of land
to the McCall-Miller creek communities for a cemetery. Through the years additional land has been donated and purchased.
In the early years relatives and friends cared for the Cemetery. In later years the Miller Creek Cemetery Association was
formed.  The Cemetery was declared Historical April 4, 1976. Thus the gift of Jacob and Catherine Davidson Felps has been
and still is a blessing to the generations that have followed.

The MILLER CREEK CEMETERY BOOK will be available to purchase. The book lists
over 1300 gravesites plus a name cross reference of the spouse or parents if available.
Doris Felps Gilpatrick, Great-great-grand daughter of JACOB FELPS wrote the book.
The proceeds from the book are donated by Doris Felps Gilpatrick and Edna [Mrs.
G.A.] Felps to the Cemetery association. Not only will you have a keepsake to pass to your descendants you will
