Madison "Butch" Bargsley

CRANE, TX.
Madison "Butch" Frank Bargsley Jr., 63, died Monday, May 12, in Gardendale.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, in the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Krueger officiating. Burial will follow in the
Crane County Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Mr. Bargsley was born on July 1, 1939 in Ranger. He was a consultant in the oilfield. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Vietnam era.
He is survived by a daughter, Suzzie Hurst of Burleson; four sons, Tony Bargsley of Fort Worth, Madison Bargsley, III, of Midland, James Bargsley of Colorado City, and Michael Bargsley of Springtown; his mother, Faustine Elizabeth Bargsley of Crane; two sisters, Cora Ann Osborn and Sibyl Tarpley, both of Crane; a brother, Kim Bargsley of Reklaw; and five grandchildren

BATCH Joyce Ann


ODESSA, TX. Joyce Ann Batch, 46, of Crane, died Sunday, April 13 in Odessa.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Pentecostal Church. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Fort Knox, Ky., and was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by four sons, Brian Batch, Barron Batch, Brandon Batch and Bryson Batch, all of Midland; daughter, Bridgette Batch of Odessa; father, John Lewis of Aldan, Pa.; brothers, Noah Lewis of Upper Darby, Pa., and Jimmie Slade of Washington, D.C.; and sister, Bessie Scott of Colorado Springs, Colo.

Hazel Blake
Crane, TX
Hazel J. Blake, 85 of Midland, and formerly of Crane, died on Saturday, October 2, 2004 in the Manor Park retirement home.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 4, 2004 in the Crane County Cemetery with Reverend Tommy Parker officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Hazel was born on November 30, 1918 in DeLeon, Texas. She married J.L. Blake on July 2, 1965. She had lived in Crane from 1952 until 1998.
She had worked for Johnny Alexander's Grocery in Crane, and had also worked for Phillips Petroleum in Odessa in the Gas Department. She was also a homemaker, and a member of the First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Effie Patterson Gray, and a sister, Edith Carol. She is survived by her husband, J.L. Blake of Hobbs, NM; four sons, Steve Wilkes and his wife Kaila of Littleton, Colorado, William Johnson and his wife Paquita of Midland, Curtis Blake and his wife Debbie of Hobbs, NM, and Carl Blake and his wife Julia of Midland; two daughters, Charlotte Skinner and her husband Mike of Texarkana, and Connie Calobreves, of Midland; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Mary Bortzfield

 
Mary Mary Bortzfield, 85, of Crane, died on Saturday, July 21, in a local Hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 25, in the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home chapel
with Brother Bob Petree officiating. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery with services under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
Mrs. Bortzfield was born on May 22, 1916 in Watkins, Okla. She had lived in Crane since 1958. She was a member of the Crane Christian Church.
Survivors Include a daughter, Teresa Bortzfield Clark of Midland; a son, Evert James "Jim" Bortzfield of Dallas; a sister, Mildred Collums of Tulsa; and 7 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Sybil Edwards

ODESSA, TX
Services for Sybil Lee Ada Edwards, 76, of Odessa, are scheduled for 10 a.m. today, May 21, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Young officiating. Interment will be at
Crane Cemetery in Crane.  She died Sunday, May 18, at Medical Center Hospital.
She was born Jan. 7, 1927, in Caddo. She graduated from lraan High School and received a bachelor of science degree in chemistry from Texas Tech University. She was employed by Shell Oil Co. and retired from Medical Center Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Odessa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D H. Edwards; a brother and two sisters.
Survivors include her brother, Aubrey Edwards of San Angelo; a sister, Jackie Thompson of Midland; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Mission Odessa or to a charity of your choice.
Services are being handled by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
