Welch, Texas  Directions: Located just off the LaMesa-Welch Highway about .4 miles west on FM 1066, it is to the left of the road.  It has no fence or gate, just two metal post that at one time was the entrance. 

Five Mile Cemetery

 

Directions: From Big Spring, Texas take Highway 87 north 35 miles to County Road 26.  Turn left (west) onto CR 26 and drive approximately three miles to the corner of CR 26 and CR M and the cemetery is on the north-west corner.

You go North on Highway 87  from Lamesa to Arvana Gin. Turn right and go about one mile to a crossroads and the Cemetery is on the right--south-west corner.

Lamesa County Cemetery 

Directions: Cemetery is adjacent (west side) of the Lamesa Memorial Park Perpetual Care  Cemetery. From Lamesa US 180, south on TX 137 (south Bryan Street) 1.8 miles,  then right (west) (faint sign) on paved road 0.3 mile to cemeteries on right.  To reach cemetery drive south out of Lamesa on Hwy 137 for less than a mile. Turn right or west on Cemetery Rd.  It is the second cemetery on your right, adjoining Lamesa Memorial Park.  Lamesa Cemetery is owned by the city of Lamesa and is still active and accepting burials. Note:  Lamesa Cemetery & Lamesa County Cemetery are the same cemetery. 

Lamesa Memorial Park AKA Dawson Cemetery

Location: Southwest side of Lamesa on Cemetery Road. Phone 1 - 806-372-7644 1010 County Road 20

Per Find A Grave: Dawson County Cemetery and Lamesa Memorial Cemetery were side by side as separate entities, with Dawson being publicly owned and Lemesa being privately owned. In 2017 Dawson County Cemetery officially took over and absorbed Lamesa after the Memorial Park owners were convicted of financial malfeasance. Today they are operated as one under the name Dawson, and all burial records are house and curated together.

Midway Cemetery 
 
Midway, Texas      Location: From Lamesa, take US 87 southeast, turn east on US 180 and proceed to Key, Texas. Turn South and proceed to Midway, Texas. Then turn West for One mile on dirt road for 1 mile. Cemetery is on the Northeast side of intersection.
O'Donnell Cemetery
 

O'Donnell, Texas Location: South of O'Donnell on US 87. The town of O'Donnell sits between two counties; Lynn and Dawson, but the cemetery is located in Dawson County

Location: 1 mile South of Ackerly in Martin County
Pioneer Cemetery
 
Lamesa.  Location: North 1st Street, East of US 87.
Plainview Cemetery O'Donnell, Texas   Indian Canyon NW

Risher Family Cemetery
 

 

From Ackerly, go 2 miles North on US 87. Turn right (East) on CR33 (in front of the red brick house just off of  87 - my grandparents homestead) and go 1.5 miles. Cemetery is on the right, still protected by the farmer that works the land.
