Husband:  James Ervin George, Sr., b. 02 May 1879 in NC., d. 1952 in Albuquerque, Bernalillo, NM, buried Resthaven Cemetery, Lubbock Co., Texas, m. 29 Jun 1913.  Son of Charles Noden George and Mary M. Newman.

Wife:  Virgie Ann Rainer, b. 28 Mar 1895 in Sabine Parish, La., d.  31 Mar 1980 in New York, NY, buried Resthaven Cemetery, Lubbock Co., Texas.  Daughter of William Carter Rainer and Emily Ann Irby.

Children: 

1. Doris Evelyn Berniece George, b. 05 Apr 1918 in Lamesa, Dawson Co., Texas, d. 17 Jul 1920 in Lamesa, Dawson Co., Texas, buried Lamesa Cemetery, Dawson Co., Texas.

2.  Mildred Okylene George, b. 31 Oct 1920 in Slaton, Lubbock Co., Texas, d. 13 Aug 1982 in Mt. Dora, FL., buried Resthaven Cemetery, Lubbock Co., Texas.  Never married.

3.  James Ervin George, Jr., born 14 May 1924 in Slaton, Lubbock Co., Texas, died 20 Aug 1994 in Mt. Dora, FL., buried Resthaven Cemetery, Lubbock Co., Texas.  (Notes on James by Louise Gillispie Stratton, Jan. 24, 1999:  James was called Junior George for many years, in fact until I was grown I thought that was his real name.  Later he was called Jim.  Jim worked for and retired from Texaco Incorporated as Administrative Assistant of International Marine Sales Dept.  Jim lived in Slaton, Lamesa, and Plainview, Texas, New York City and Brooklyn, NY, Portugal, France, Hobart, OK and moved to Mount Dora, FL in 1994 and died there in August of 1994.  He was cremated and sent to Lubbock, Texas where he was buried beside his father, mother and sister, all preceded him in death.  Jim was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  He sang in the choir which was his first love.  He was a Board member of the Friends of the Library in Hobart, OK.  A volunteer of Hobart Museum.  Jim was in the US Army during WW II.  He was a member of the Military Band.  Always as he arrived at the edge of Hobart, Jim remarked "I'm getting home, it is so pretty here.")
