Edward L. Cooper, Jr.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 29, in Teague for Edward Leslie Cooper, Jr., 61, of Smithville who died Wednesday, January 27.
Mr. Cooper was born October 8, 1931, in Mexia and had moved from Alaska to Smithville two months ago. He was editor of the Smithville Times and was a Baptist.
Services were conducted at 2 pm at Rick's Funeral Home chapel.
Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Cooper is survived by a daughter, Sarah Rothchild of Katy; his mother, Mamie Cooper of Teague; a brother, Jimmy Cooper of Teague; and three grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Rick's Funeral Home of Teague.
