| Gladewater Chapter No. 831 was instituted on Sept 24, 1932. Worthy
Grand Patron George S Dowell presiding. Mrs Nell Fairbairn was Worthy
Matron UD and B M Land was Worthy Patron UD. Charter Members were: Neill Fairbairn Lacona Alexander Mildred Coyle Corene Elledge Lena Decker B Chapman Elizabeth Payne Mary Walker Kate Watkins Jewel Freeze Sloan Corene Goins Maudle Clark Orval Phillips Lucy Grafton Gertrude Layman Maggie Ruth Mable Walker Berdie B Smith The Chapter was constituted on Nov 23, 1932; Mrs Elizabeth Payne was the first Worthy Matron and B M Land was the first Worthy Patron. Brother Floyd Easterling presided at the contitution of the Chapter.
