Jackson, Earl - Cpl Earl Jackson, husband of Wilma Oney Jackson. Entered Army in 1942, trained at Ft Benning, Ga. Now has an Honorable Discharge.
Jackson, Ruffus - Sgt Ruffus Jackson, son of Mrs Bettie Jackson, attended HS in Red River Co. Entered Army in 1943, trained at Camp Roberts, Cal. and L I. Served in North Africa, Italy, France and Germany, where now on duty. Holds ETO Ribbon, Good Conduct, Sharpshooter Medal and two Battle Stars.
Jaggers, James T - Sgt James T Jaggers, son of Mr & Mrs J S Jaggers. Entered Army in 1942, trained at Ft Sill, Okla., Mare Island, Camp Haan, Cal. and Camp Howze, Texas. Served in England and France. Holds Combat Ribbons, ETO Ribbons with two Stars, ATO Ribbons, Good Conduct Ribbons and Div. Citation with Ribbons.
Jerden, Jimmy D - Pfc Jimmy D Jerden, son of Mr & Mrs E N Jerden, husband of Laura House, attended school in Mineola HS. Entered Army Sept 1942, trained at Camp Barkeley, Texas. Served in England, France and now on duty in Berlin.
Jeter, Jack - Lt (jg) Jack Jeter, son of Mr & Mrs O M Jeter, graduate Kilgore HS and Kilgore College. Entered Navy Air Corps 1942, trained at Pensacola, Fla. Served as instructor at Ellyson Field, Pensacola, Fla. Now taking special training at Kingsville and waiting assignment for overseas.
Jeter, John T - Ensign John T Jeter, son of Mr & Mrs O M Jeter, husband of Margarite Donnerly, graduate Kilgore HS and Kilgore College. Entered Navy Oct 1942, trained at Pensacola, Fla. Was assigned as Eng. Officer and Test Pilot at Ellyson Field, Fla. Still on duty there.
Johnson, Charles R - Charles R Johnson, aerographer M 1/c, son of Mr & Mrs C D Johnson. Entered Navy in 1942, trained at San Diego, Cal. and at Naval Aerographer School, Lakehurst, NJ. Spent one year in Newfoundland, 10 months in England. Holda A & ETO Ribbons and Good Conduct Medal. Now on duty at Atlanta, Ga.
Johnson, Harry F - Sgt Harry F Johnson, son of Mrs Orline Johnson, attended Longview HS. Entered Army QM Corps in 1942. Trained at Cheyenne, Wyo and California. Served in Philippines and Okinawa. Holds Good Conduct Medal. Now on duty in Philippines.
Johnson, Herschel L - M/Sgt Herschel L Johnson, son of Mr & Mrs Orline Johnson, attended Longview HS. Entered Air Corps in 1941. Trained at San Antonio. Served in England. Art Ed. and Field Paper. Now discharged.
Johnson, Jack G - S/Sgt Jack G Johnson, son of S A Johnson of Longview and Mrs Gladys Johnson of Dallas. Entered Air Corps in 1940. Served in Greenland, Iceland, Ireland and England. Has Purple Heart. Killed at gun Position on his fourth raid over Germany October 14, 1943.
Johnson, James W - T/Sgt James W Johnson, grandson of Mr & Mrs S J Keen. Graduate of Kilgore HS. Entered Army Air Corps in August 1944. Trained at Jefferson Barracks, Mo. Now on duty at Madison, Wisc.
Johnson, Malvin G - Sgt Malvin G Johnson, son of Mr & Mrs Earl Johnson and husband of Bernell Bruner Johnson, entered the Air Corps. Trained at Keesler Field, Miss, Robbins Field, Gal., and Gieger Field, Wash. Served in India where he is now on duty at Karachi. Holds Good conduct and Sharpshooter Medals.

Johnson Robert C Jr - MM 2/c Robert C Johnson Jr, son of Mrs R C Johnson Sr, husband of Nito Gilland. Graduate of Kilgore HS. Entered Navy Seabees in September 1942. Trained at Camp Edicott, RI. Served in New Caledonia, Guadalcanal, Am. Samoa, New Georgia, Green Island. Holds ATO, APT, three Stars and now on duty in Okinawa.
Johnson, Romeo A - M/Sgt Romeo A Johnson, son of Mr & Mrs R A Johnson Sr, and husband of Hazel Montgomery Johnson. Attended Texas U. Entered Army in 1942. Served in New Zealand, Australia, India, Iran, Africa. Twenty two months in Iran Med. Corps. Holds Good Conduct Medal and Mid East Ribbon. Discharged in 1944.
Johnson, Sanford A - Capt Sanford A Johnson, son of Mr S A Johnson of Longview and Mrs Gladys Johnson of Dallas. Entered Tank Destroyer Battalion in 1941. Trained at Camp Bowie and Camp Hood. Served in England, Germany and Czechoslovakia. Holds five Battle stars and Honorable Discharge.

Johnston, Billy A - Sgt Billy A Johnston, son of Mr & Mrs O B Johnston. Entered Inf. in 1944, trained at Camp Fannin, Texas. Served in Italy, France, Belgium and Germany. Holds EAME Ribbon with three Battle Stars, Inf. Com. Badge, Purple Heart and Good Conduct Medal.
Johnston, Bruce - Cpl Bruce Johnston, son of Mr & Mrs O B Johnston. Entered Marines in 1942, trained at San Diego, Camp Pendleton, and Camp Elliot, Cal. Served in New Zealand, Guadalcanal, Guam, Emiru, Marshalls and Okinawa. Holds AP Ribbon with three Battle Stars, Navy Unit Citation and Purple Heart.

Served in Italy and Yugoslavia, where he was reported missing for 40 days. Has Air Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Pres. Citation, EAME Ribbon with eight Battle Stars and Good Conduct Medal and an Honorable Discharge.

Joyner, Charles P Jr - ARM 3/c Charles P Joyner Jr, son of Mr & Mrs C P Joyner, attended Kilgore HS. Entered Navy in 1942. Trained in Calif. and Fla. Killed at sea on December 19, 1942 in plane crash.
