Mahaffey, Trenice - Cpl Trenice Mahaffey, son of Mrs W A Miller of Longview, attended Longview HS. Entered service in Sept 1942. Trained for Marines at San Diego. Served 15 months in Southwest Pacific. Has Good Conduct Medal and Sharpshooting Medal. Now on duty at El Centro, Cal.

Morrison, Roy W - Pfc Roy W Morrison, son of Mr & Mrs J L Morrison and husband of Margie Brewere Morrison; entered Air Corps in 1942. Trained at Major Field, A & M School at Gulfport, Miss. Has been on duty at Randolph Field, Brooks Field and Blackland Field. Now awaiting shipping orders.

Morrow, Frank - Pfc Frank Morrow, son of Mr & Mrs Arch Morrow, and husband of Betty Jo Hillburn Morrow, attended Spring Hill HS. Entered Army in 1945; trained Camp Hood, Texas. Served in South Pacific on Leyte and is still on duty there.

Moss, James B - M/Sgt James B Moss, son of Mr & Mrs J B Moss, and husband of Margie Laweless Moss; entered Air Corps in 1938. Trained at Barksdale, La. and Scott Field, Ill. Has served in Australia and New Guinea. Holds AP Ribbon, five Bronze Stars and Pres. Citation with 89th Bomb. Sqdn.
Moughon, Thomas H - S 1/c Thomas H Moughon, son of Mrs Leona Moughon; attended Judson Grove HS. Entered Navy and trained at San Diego, Calif. Has served on Okinawa, Iwo Jima, the Philippines and Leyte. Now stationed on the William B Biddle.
Mullenix, Charlie T - Pvt Charlie T Mullenix, husband of Allie Ray Monday Mullenix; entered Army in 1942; trained at Camp Robinson, Ark, Camp Edwards, Mass, and Camp Butner, NC. Received Honorable Discharge in Feb. 1943.
Murphy, Horace G - S/Sgt Horace G Murphy Jr, son of Mrs Lila Murphy; husband of Myra Ogden, father of Jamice Murphy; entered Army Air Corps in Aug. 1942. Trained at Alamogordo, NM. Based in England; made 21 missions. Held Air Medal, Purple Heart. Killed in France Dec 31, 1943.

Murray, Joseph E - S 1/c Joseph E Murray, graduated from Longview HS. Entered Coast Guard in 1942. Trained at Hollywood, Fla. Has served aboard the USS Triton. Murray was a member of the 1941 Logoes and an outstanding player.
Musselwhite, Vernon H - RDM 3/c Vernon H Musslewhite, son of Mr & Mrs V H Musselwhite; entered Navy in 1944; trained at San Diego. Has served on Oahu, Leyte, Iwo Jima, Okinawa and Saipan. Now on duty at the receiving station 826 in the Pacific.
