O'Banion, Marvin - Pfc Marvin O'Banion, son of Mrs Elizabeth O'Banion. Entered the 786th Tank Bn. in 1940; trained at NC, Ark., and Okla. Has served in England, Holland, Belgium and Germany. Has two Battle Stars, Good Conduct Medal and ETO Ribbon. 
O'Brien, Matthey J - Pfc Matthew J O'Brien, son of Mr & Mrs R B O'Brien. Entered the Inf in 1942; trained at Camp Roberts, Cal. Has served in France and Italy, where still on duty at Trieste. Holds ETO Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and two Combat Stars.
Odom, T J Jr - Pfc T J Odom Jr, son of Mr T J Odom and Mrs Cora Odom, attended Kilgore HS. Entered Marine Corps Aug 1943; trained at San Diego, Cal. Has served in Hawaii and Iwo Jima. Holds PTO, now on duty in the South Pacific.
Oldham, Thurman B - S 1/c Thurman B Oldham, son of Mr & Mrs T B Oldham, husband of Imogene Johnson Oldham, attended Pine Tree HS. Entered Navy in 1944; has served in the Hawaiian Islands. Now on duty at Pearl Harbor.
Oney, Birdie Marie - PHM Birdie Marie Oney, daughter of Mr & Mrs W A Oney. Entered wAVES in 1944. Trained at Bronx, NY, Bethesda, Md. and Memphis, Tenn. Now on duty at Brooklyn, NY.
Oney, Clifford - Pfc Clifford Oney, son of Mr & Mrs B H Oney, entered Army in 1940. Trained at Camp Bowie; has served in the Southwest Pacific. Holds expert Machine Gunner Medal and Expert Marksman Medal. Now on duty in the East Indies.
Oney, Herbert F - Pfc Herbert F Oney, son of Mr & Mrs B H Oney and husband of A V Rhodes Oney; entered 7th Army Inf. 157th Div. in 1943; trained at Camp Shelby, Miss. Served in Italy, France, Germany, England. Holds Combat Inf. Badge, Rifleman Cal. M 1 and 745, ETO and ME Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Bronze Star.
Oney, Mary F - T 3/c Mary F Oney, daughter of Mr & Mrs W A Oney; entered WAVES in 1944; trained at Bronx NY and Stillwater, Okla. Now on duty at Corpus Christi, Texas.
Orms, Clyde R - Cpl Clyde R Orms, son of Mrs L E Orms, attended White Oak school; entered Air Corps 1940; trained at Keesley Field, Miss. Served in France, Belgium, England, where he is still on duty.
Orms, James O - S 3/c James O Orms, son of Mrs L E Orms and husband of Louise Lynne Orms; attended White Oak HS. Entered Navy in 1944; trained at San Diego and Oceanside, Calif., where he is still stationed.
Orms, John T - MAM 3/c John T Orms, son of Mrs L E Orms; attended White Oak HS. Entered Navy in 1943; trained at San Diego and San Pedro. Has served in the Pacific. Now somewhere in the Pacific on USS Jamestown.
Osborne, Roy S - Fireman 1/c Roy S Osborne, son of Mr & Mrs N R Osborne, attended Longview HS; entered Navy in 1945; trained at San Diego, and Gulfport, Miss. Now on duty at San Diego.
Osteen, Samuel M - Pvt Samuel M Osteen, son of Mrs Ida Osteen and husband of Leola Thompson Osteen; attended Gladewater HS. Entered Air Corps in 1943; trained at Sheppard Field. Has served in England, France and Germany. Holds ETO Ribbon with six Battle Stars, Pres. Citation with two Oak Leaf Clusters.
Ostrom, Jack L - Y 3/c Jack L Ostrom, son of Mr & Mrs J R Ostrom; graduate of Kilgore HS, Kilgore College and Baylor Univ. Entered Navy in 1943; trained at San Diego. Served at Pearl Harbor and in the Philippines, where he is now on duty at Okinawa.
Otis, Eugene D - Pfc Eugene D Otis, son of Mr & Mrs E H Otis of Laird Hill; attended school at Leverett's Chapel. Entered Army in 1944; trained at Camp Wolters. Now in Germany in Army of Occupation. Has completed non-com officer's leadership and Ins. course.
Overly, Charles R - Ens. Charles R Overly, son of Mr & Mrs Charles E Overly, attended White Oak HS and A & M College. Entered Naval Air Corps in 1944. Trained at Memphis, Tenn., Jacksonville, Fla. and New York City, NY. Now on duty at Hollywood, Fla.  
Overly, James A - S/Sgt James A Overly, son of Mr & Mrs Charles E Overly, attended White oak HS and Kilgore College. Entered Air Corps in 1943; trained at San Antonio, Texas and Denver, Col. Has served in England, Belgium and Germany. Holds Air Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters and Pres. Unit Citation.
Overly, Robert J - A/S Robert J Overly, son of Mr & Mrs Charles E Overly, White Oak, attended White Oak HS and A & M College. Entered Coast Guard in August 1945; trained at Manhattan Beach, NY. Still unassigned.
Overstreet, Jacky N - S 1/c Jacky N Overstreet, son of Mrs Frank Brookins, attended Pine Tree HS. Entered Navy in 1943; trained at San Diego, Cal. Has served in the South Pacific, where now on duty.
Owens, Andrew B - Pfc Andrew B Owens, son of Mrs Alice Owens, husband of Maxine Sawyer Owens, attended Longview HS. Entered Army in 1944; trained at Camp Hood, Texas and Ft Benning, Ga. Has served in England and France, and was killed in action in France Jan 20, 1944. Awarded Purple Heart and Citation.
Owens, James C - Pfc James C Owens, son of Mr & Mrs O C Owens. Entered Army in 1942, trained at Camp Howze, Texas and had further training at Camp Barkeley, Texas. Has served in France and Belgium, and now on duty in France. Has Marksmanship Medal.
