Spring Hill Church Gets Oil Gusher --- In East Texas
                                 ~~~~~
Longview, Texas,    March 26 --- Ernest Eslick's No. 1 Spring Hill Church Lot test came in
Wednesday and gauged approximately 200 barrels for the first hour.  Completion of the well means
a mile extension of the Lathrop pool toward the north. Twenty-three feet of rich oil sand was cored
in the Eslick test more than a week ago. Sand was encountered at the 3,598-foot level, about thirty or forty feet lower than was found in the Lathrop discovery well.
When the well was spudded in a month ago the Rev. W. R. Harber and his congregation conducted services at the site and Mrs. Eslick sang a solo.  The test is on a fifty-acre tract and a fifteen-acre lease.
