Denny, William F.

Funeral services for William F. Denny, 90, of Longview, will 
be held 2 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2006, in the chapel of 
Rader Funeral Home of Longview, with the Reverend Carol Petty 
officiating. Entombment will be in Rosewood Park. He passed 
away Wednesday, December 27, 2006, at his residence in Longview. 
Mr. Denny was born March 7, 1916, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to 
James A. and Anna Denny. He had been a resident of Longview for 
the past 22 years, and was a former resident of Shreveport, 
Louisiana, and Houston. He was a graduate of Texas A&M University 
and was retired from Texas Eastern Oil & Gas Transmission 
Corporation as an accountant. He was a World War II veteran of 
the U.S. Coast Guard. Mr. Denny was tournament director for the 
East Texas Senior Golf Association and was a former goalie for the 
Texas A&M National Championship Water Polo Team. He was a member 
of Trinity Episcopal Church in Longview. He was preceded in death 
by his first wife, Ouida Marie Harris Denny of Shreveport, Louisiana; 
his second wife, Marjorie Denny of Longview; and his brothers, Otway 
B. Denny and James A. Denny. Those left to cherish his memory are his 
daughter, Barbara Johnson of Grapeland, Texas; son, William F. Denny 
II of Lake Charles, Louisiana; grandchildren, William James Johnson, 
Jennifer Kathleen Johnson Prout, Thomas Ronald Johnson Jr., and 
William Gerald Denny; and great-grandsons, Tyler Dean Johnson, Payton 
James Prout, and Christopher Logan Johnson. Memorial contributions may 
be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 906 Padon, Longview, TX 75601; 
The Salvation Army, 519 E. Cotton St., Longview, TX 75601; or to St. 
Jude's Ranch for Children, 100 St. Jude's St., Boulder City, NV 89006. 
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening, December 29, 2006, at
