Farnell, Doris Leath Funeral services for Doris Leath Farnell, 85, of Longview, will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2007, at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Road, with the Reverend Don Dodge officiating. Burial will follow in Summerfield Cemetery, under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Farnell passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2007, in Longview. She was born November 2, 1921, in Longview, Texas, to Cole and Nora Thomas Leath. She was a homemaker and a member of the Summerfield United Methodist Church, where she was head of the nursery, and the children affectionately called her, "Mimi." She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lenora and Jim Amos of Longview; grandchildren, Angela Amos Jones and husband James, and Alan Amos, also of Longview; great-grandchildren, Julianna and Jace Jones; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Darlene Leath of Ore City; sisters-in-law, Andree Leath of Bel Air, Md.; Mattie Craig of Henderson, and Gladys Phillips of LaPorte.; brother-in-law, Johnny Strong of Henderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
