Graves, Nellie N. Services for Nellie N. Graves, 82, of Longview, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2006, in the Welch Funeral Home Chapel, 4619 Judson Road, with Dr. Charles S. Barham officiating. The committal ceremony will be held in the Welch Garden Court. Mrs. Graves passed away on Monday, November 20, 2006, at her residence. Mrs. Graves was born February 6, 1924, in Longview, to Hardy A. and Irene Woods Leath. She was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church and a member of O.E.S. She had worked as deputy district clerk and court co-coordinator for Judge Marcus Vascocu, and later as his private secretary. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Graves; and her daughter, Martha Graves McQuinn. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Jim Graves of Longview; grandchildren, Jim Dorman, Chase Graves, Desira Walls, Jaime Graves, Holly Hearn, Mollie McQuinn, and James McQuinn; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother; and three sisters.
