Higgins Jr., Paul Luther Services for Paul Luther Higgins Jr., 44, will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2006, in the Welch Funeral Home Garden Court, with Dr. Tim Watson officiating. Burial will be in Rosewood Park. He passed away Thursday, October 26, 2006, in Little Rock, Ark. Paul was born in Odessa, Texas, on February 22, 1962, and as the first child born on George Washington's birthday, he received a lifetime membership to the chamber of commerce and many other gifts from the city. He moved to Longview as a child and attended Pine Tree schools. Paul served in the Navy on both frigate and submarine duty. After the service, he opened his own radio shop in the Little Rock, Ark., area, where he was also baptized into the Baptist faith. Paul's love of the Lord was exemplified by his love of helping others. He also enjoyed cooking and fishing. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Jane and Willis Brewton; sister and brother-in-law, Janeene and Nelson Stoldt; nieces, Nikole and Alexzandra Stoldt, all of Longview; a nephew and niece, Christopher and Sherry Mayes of Brownwood, Texas; and two aunts, Daphine McDonald of Jonesburg, Ga., and Beverly Lee of Atlanta, Ga.
