Hughes, Ruby Cryptside services for Ruby Hughes of Longview will be 2 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2006, at Rosewood Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Richard Pruitt officiating. Entombment will follow at Rosewood Park Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Hughes was born in Gregg County and worked for Brookshires Grocery Co. for 25 years. Ruby was truly "the heart and soul" of Brookshires in Longview. She began working as a cashier, quickly moving to office management and organizing floral design displays and food sampling demonstrations in different locations in a two-state area. She was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church. She is survived by her nephews, Joe Piccola of Greenwood, Missouri, David Pace of Nevada, Texas and Monty Pace of San Angelo, Texas; nieces, Sharon Piccola Hall of Arlington, Texas and Kitty Pace Schwartz of San Antonio, Texas; great-nephew, Bennie Piccola of Tyler, Texas; and several cousins. There will be visitation from 1-2 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2006, at Rosewood Park Mausoleum Chapel. A memorial guestbook may be signed online at www.raderfh.com.
