Irvin, Anissa KayTomlinson KILGORE -- Services for Anissa Irvin, 36, of Kilgore, will be 10 a.m. Monday, January 15, 2007, at the Church on the Rock, with Pastor Rob Parsons and Pastor Chuck Warnock officiating. Burial will follow in the Danville Cemetery. She was stricken suddenly with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) while visiting family in Illinois during the Christmas holidays and ascended to heaven January 9, 2007, in Urbana, Illinois. Nissy was born November 19, 1970, in Kilgore, Texas. She was a graduate of Kilgore High School, Kilgore College, as well as UT Tyler. Anissa was a member of Longview Metro Church, where she enjoyed worshipping her Lord and Savior. She was an insurance adjuster for PILOT Catastrophes and made many close friends while on the road. Anissa was a loving mother, wife, sister, daughter, and everywhere she went, she brought a presence with her that lit up the room and made it a better place. She loved to sing and dance from the time she was a little girl, performing many closet concerts with her big sister. She was a natural born instructor, giving everyone advice and following up behind them to make sure they did it right. She loved to laugh and make others laugh, and just to be around her would make you a happier person. She did everything she put her hand to with a spirit of excellence. From her work as an adjuster to her newest and most loved job as a mother, she took no shortcuts and always gave her best even when it was hard. Her smile was infectious, her spirit contagious, and to know her was to know what unconditional love was all about. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of nine years, Travis Irvin of Kilgore; beloved one-year-old son, Asher Irvin of Kilgore; parents Randy and Linda Tomlinson of Kilgore; sister and brother-in-law, Carrie and Lee Baird of Henderson; nieces, Maranda and Anna Taylor; nephews, Andy and Jacob Taylor of Kilgore; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mike and Pam Irvin of Robinson, Illinois; brother-in-law, Mikey Irvin of Robinson, Illinois; mother-in-law, Tina Stout and Clancy Catt of Oblong, Illinois; grandparents, Helen Irvin of Robinson, Illinois, and Floyd and Betty Stout of Hudsonville, Illinois; and by lifelong best friend, Derenda Pepper of Elderville. She will also be missed by aunts and uncles: Crista and Kenneth Tompkins of Tyler; Sandy and Jerry Randolph, Marie and Bobby Tompkins, Brenda and Tommy Tompkins, all of Overton; Patti and Dennis Harris of Longview; and Delores and Pete Tomlinson of Tyler; an uncle, Bill Spillman; aunts, Peggy Meeks and Deena Tomlinson, of Tyler; numerous cousins; and countless friends across the country. Memorial contributions may be made to "Anissa's Miracle Network" at any Bank of America location, which will go to a special fund for her infant son, Asher Michael Irvin's future. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday evening, January 14, 2007, at Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore. Please leave online condolences at www.Raderfuneralhome.com.
