Jameson, John Michael Services for John Michael Jameson, 61, of White Oak, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2007, at the Welch Funeral Home Chapel, 4619 Judson Road, with Dr. Gregg Zackary officiating. Burial will be in the New White Oak Cemetery. Mr. Jameson passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2007, at a hospice facility in Tyler. Mr. Jameson was born February 6, 1946, in Aurora, Illinois, to John Coleman and Sara Nutting Jameson. He was a United States Air Force veteran, having served in Viet Nam from January 10, 1969 - January 6, 1970, in the 1876 Communication Squadron at the Tan Son Nhut Sir Base. Mr. Jameson received the Meritorious Service Award. He received the White House Communications Agency Certificate of Appreciation and SBC Rider Service Award. Mr. Jameson worked as a cable splicer for Southwestern Bell Telephone and AT&T. He was a member of the Mobberly Baptist Church, Pine Tree Lodge No. 1396 - a Master Mason, and SBC Pioneers. Mr. Jameson was preceded in death by his father, John Coleman Jameson; and a niece, Rhea Sanders. Mr. Jameson is survived by his wife, Jamie Jameson of White Oak; mother, Sara Jameson of Longview; daughters, Christine Eddington of White Oak, and Angela Woolley and husband, Bryan of Tyler; son, Michael Dewayne Jameson of White Oak; grandsons, Skyler Eddington of White Oak, Preston Woolley and Spencer Woolley of Tyler; sisters, Frances Sanders and husband, Artie of Midlothian, and Marjorie Miller and husband, Les of Tyler; brother, David Jameson of Longview; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorials may be made in the name of Mr. Jameson to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, TX 75701.
