Services for W.F. Martaindale, 92, of Daingerfield, formerly 
of White Oak, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2007, in 
the chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Burial will 
follow in Judson Cemetery. Mr. Martaindale was born May 11, 
1914, in Talco, and died February 24, 2007, at a local 
hospital. Survivors include his children, Dessie Hancock, 
Nadine Powell, Retta Reynolds, Vonie Guidry, Janice Garmon, 
John Martaindale and Marion Martaindale. Visitation will be 
6-8 p.m. today, February 26, 2007, at the funeral home. A

Funeral services for W.F. Martaindale, 92, of Daingerfield, 
formerly of White Oak, will be held at 2 p.m. today, February 
27, 2007, in the chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, 
with his great-grandson, Brother Phillip Mathis, the Rev. L.C. 
Terry and friend, Jim Rhea, officiating. Burial will follow 
in Judson Cemetery. Mr. Martaindale was born May 11, 1914, in 
Talco, to A.M. J. and Willie Louise Woodard Martaindale. He 
passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2007, at a Longview 
hospital. He was a forge press operator for Marathon 
LeTourneau before retiring in 1976. He was a deacon and song 
leader at Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Cason. A 
loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-
grandfather, he was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, 
Lee Ottie Martaindale and Effie Martaindale; two grandsons, 
Leland Guidry and Artie Farrell; and four sisters. He is 
survived by his children and their spouses, Dessie and John 
Hancock of Irving, Nadine and Wayne Powell of Harleton, Retta 
Reynolds of Longview, Vonnie Guidry of Reklaw, Janice and Dave 
Garmon of Holland, Mich., Marion and Elnora Martaindale of White 
Oak andJohn and Mona Martaindale of Ore City; 19 grandchildren; 
47 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; as well as 
many nieces and nephews.
