Murphy, Kenneth R. Services for Kenneth R. Murphy, 83, of Longview, will be 4 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2006, at Rader Funeral Home Chapel of Longview. Entombment will be in Rosewood Park Mausoleum. Mr. Murphy was born October 16, 1923, in Pawhuska, Okla.. and he died December 28, 2006, in Longview. Survivors include his wife, Nalda Louise Murphy. Murphy Sr., born October 16, 1923, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, went to be with Our Heavenly Father on December 28, 2006. He and his wife, Nalda Doby Murphy, graduates of Gladewater High School, retired to the Longview area in 1978, to be with family and friends. Kenneth was preceded in death by parents, Bryan Kenneth Murphy and Bessie Brown Murphy, formerly of Gladewater. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nalda. His children include: one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Craig O'Dea of Holly Lake Ranch; and sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth R. Murphy Jr. and Nancy of Tyler, and Bryan Murphy and Carolyn of Baton Rouge, La. Additional family includes grandsons, Darren Landry and spouse, Angela of Frisco, Kenneth Murphy III of Greenwood, S.C., and Ben Murphy of Baton Rouge, La.; granddaughters, Evelyn Nordlund and spouse, Randy of Greenwood, S.C., and Emma and Sara Murphy of Baton Rouge, La.; great-grandchildren, Garrett and Emma Landry, and Daniel and Michael Nordlund. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2006, at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, with the Reverend Tom Roberson of Oakland Heights Baptist Church officiating. Entombment will follow in Rosewood Park Mausoleum Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in honor of Mr. Murphy to the American Heart Association or Heart'sWay Hospice of Northeast Texas.
