Perkins, Harry Owen Services for Harry Owen Perkins, 63, of Longview, will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2006, at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home, with the Reverend Charles Chargois officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Our very sweet "PaPa" went home to be with the Lord on Monday evening, June 19, 2006, in Houston, after a brief and unexpected illness. Harry was born in 1942, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Bill and Marie Perkins. He graduated from Pine Tree High School in 1960 and attended Kilgore College. Mr. Perkins was a longtime member of Macedonia Baptist Church. After retiring as a supervisor from Schlitz Brewery, he enjoyed a second career as co-owner of Dressin' Gaudy with his beloved wife, Judy. Mr. Perkins was preceded in death by his dad, Bill Perkins; brother, Frank Perkins; and granddaughter, Mary Morgan Perkins. Survivors include his beloved wife of 42 years, Judy Perkins of Longview; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Naia Perkins of Tyler; grandchildren, Madeline and Grant Perkins; mother, Marie Perkins; sister, Kathy Brodhead; brother, Rick Perkins; brothers-in-law, Ricky, Nicky, and John Mayfield; sisters-in-law, Betty Widner, Joyce Broyles, and Ann Dillard; mother-in-law, Susie Mayfield; and many other friends and family.
