Perkins, William Earl A celebration of life service for William Earl Perkins, 93, of Longview, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at Winterfield Cemetery, with the Rev. Scott Schulik of Mobberly Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today, June 5, 2006, at the funeral home, 1617 Judson Road. Mr. Perkins was born February 2, 1913, in Summer Shade, Ky., to Jocephus and Laura Bell Free Perkins. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 3, 2006. Before retiring, he was self-employed as a public accountant. He was also a member of Winterfield United Methodist Church. A loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Mr. Perkins was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Julia Perkins; three sisters, Sallie Ward, Irene Smith and Edna Polson; as well as one brother, Guy Perkins. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Kenneth Bechtold of Longview; son, Phillip Earl Perkins of Webster; two grandchildren, Kristi Norris of Houston, and Jennifer Bechtold of Longview; and two great-grandchildren.
