Tutt, Doris Lee McFarland Doris Lee McFarland Tutt, 87, of Longview, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2006, at a local hospital. She was born September 3, 1919, in Longview, to Sudie Jane Bright McFarland and Daniel Bluford McFarland Sr. She was one of eight children. On March 8, 1941, she married William Robert Tutt, who served as the assistant chief of police in Longview for 43 years. Mrs. Tutt was involved in numerous business ventures throughout her lifetime. She worked for both Southwestern Bell Telephone and Mid-Valley Pipeline. She also owned and operated for many years, a kindergarten and day care, as well as a ladies boutique. Later on, she became a real estate broker, working for various Realtors and most recently, operating two real estate companies of her own. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Robert Tutt; her son-in-law, Russ Morgan; one sister, Mildred Hillin; and three brothers, Bluford "Buddy" McFarland Jr., Earl McFarland, and Wayne McFarland. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Morgan of Hallsville; her grandson, Paul Morgan of Hallsville; two sisters, Jayne Burkett of Fort Worth, and Maxine Lloyd of Gladewater; one brother, Darwin McFarland of Longview; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held noon Tuesday, September 12, 2006, at Winterfield United Methodist Church, with the Reverend Rita Sims officiating. Burial will follow in Winterfield Cemetery, under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview at 1617 Judson Road.
