Traughber, Virginia Lavon Wood   	
  	
GLADEWATER - Celebration of life services for Virginia Lavon Wood Traughber of 
Tyler will be 2 p.m. today, July 9, 2007, at First Baptist Church in Gladewater, 
with Larry W. Osborne, the Revs. Ellis Hayden Welton Jones and Aubrey Pate 
officiating. Burial will follow in the Wood Family Cemetery on Country Club Road 
in Gladewater.

Born October 23, 1910, in Gladewater, she retired from the Gladewater public 
school system in 1976 after 22 years of teaching, was a member and organist of 
First Bßaptist Church in Gladewater for 25 years and active in civic and 
community affairs. Survivors include her daughter, Dr. Syntha Traughber West; 
and brother, Woodrow Wood.
