Tutt, Carlene Mitchell Carlene Mitchell Tutt left this world Saturday, August 11, 2007, to join many loved ones in heaven. Visitation will be Monday, August 13, 2007, at Rader Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2007, at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Timothy Bolger Tutt, her grandson, pastor of United Christian Church in Austin, officiating. Burial will follow in Winterfield Cemetery. Mrs. Tutt was born in Upshur County January 4, 1920. Her family moved to Longview in 1925. She attended Longview schools. She married James A. Tutt October 2, 1936, a marriage of 58 years. They had three children, Sid, David and Jamie. She was baptized in the First Baptist Church and was a faithful member for 55 years, where she taught Sunday school and church training for 35 years. She was a member of Bethany Bible Study Club for 32 years. She served as P.T.A. president of Northcutt Heights Elementary School. The Tutts joined Macedonia Baptist Church in 1984. She was an active member of the Ruth Class and volunteer in the prayer room. The Tutts loved children and conducted tours of their farm on Adrian Road for many years. Hundreds of kindergarten children from Gregg County schools came each spring, along with Vacation Bible School groups. Mrs. Tutt was preceded in death by her brothers, Eiland and Loy Mitchell; her parents, Ben and Mary Mitchell; son, David Tutt; husband, James Tutt; and grandson, Jason Tutt. Mrs. Tutt was affectionately known as "Grammer" to her family and many people through the years. She is survived by two children, son, Sid Tutt and daughter, Jamie Tutt Wright; daughter-in-law, Marybelle Bolger Tutt; and son-in-law, Ray Wright of Longview; 10 grandchildren, Jim and wife, Margaret Tutt of Lake Cherokee, the Rev. Tim Tutt and wife, Amy of Austin, Teri Tutt Cooper of Nashville, Tom Tutt and wife, Karen of Longview, Daniel Tutt and wife, Sarah of Longview, Joel and Ben Tutt of Longview, Kelly Tutt, stationed with the U.S. Navy, Jeff Wright of Longview and Jennifer Wright of Plano; and seven adorable great- grandchildren, Tera Cooper of Nashville, Benjamin and Mary-Austin Tutt of Austin, Jonathan Tutt and Andrew Tutt, Eiland and Layla Tutt of Longview. The grandsons, Jim Tutt, Tom Tutt, Jeff Wright, Joel Tutt and Daniel Tutt, as well as son- in-law, Ray Wright, will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made in honor of Mrs. Tutt to Macedonia Baptist Church or to Millie's Ministries, 315 Eden Dr. # 47, Longview, TX 75605.
