Wynn, Malcolm Lee Malcolm Lee Wynn, 78, of Longview, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at his residence. He was born July 8, 1927, in Austin, to Oscar and Ida Jane Wynn. Malcolm was a devout Christian, deacon and member of the White Oak Baptist Church where he served with retired former Pastor James Kirkland and current Pastor and "adopted" son, Wade Duck. His extended family of brothers and sisters in Christ from White Oak Baptist Church and other churches where he served in his lifetime were an integral part of his life. Malcolm was a U.S. Navy, having served during World War II. He received an honorable discharge on June 15, 1946 at the U.S. Naval Personnel Center in New Orleans. A 38 year member of the Masonic Lodge, Malcolm had his local affiliation with Lodge Bethesda, No. 142 in Gilmer. He was to have been installed as Master of the Lodge for the 2006-2007 Officer term. Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Helen Laverne Wynn of Longview; sons, Steven L. Wynn and wife, Brenda, of White Oak, Ricky D. Wynn and wife, Carol Anne, of Longview, and Toban K. Wynn and wife, Debra, of Tomball; daughter, Cynthia "Sue" Pittmon and husband, Michael, of Longview; grandchildren, Debra, Kevin and wife, Jennifer, Shaun and wife, Shelly, Christopher, and Alexandria; three step-grandchildren, Destiny, Zach, and Kendra; seven great-grandchildren, Trenna, Aaron, Chase, Lea, Timothy, Dustin, and Jonathan-Allan Malcolm. He will be truly missed. A faithful and devoted husband, loving father, patient, and caring grandfather and great-grandfather, Malcolm Wynn will be sorely missed and memories of his life and service cherished. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2006, at the White Oak Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the new White Oak Cemetery.
