Balys M. Earle

Morning Herald – February 16, 1948 – Funeral services are pending for Balys M. Earle, 62, resident of the Sullivan Community who died at 8:30 o’clock Sunday morning at his home. He has been ill two years.

Rev. Fred Moore and Rev. Rudd will officiate with burial in Sullivan Cemetery. The body will remain at the Gray-Ballard Sorrells Funeral Home until arrangements are completed.

Pallbearers will be Benton Wallace, Rafe Wallace, Marvin Chaffin, Roy Graham, Tom Brown and Leonard Foote.

Mr. Earle was born in Cumby, Hopkins County, and was the son of Elias John and Eliza Jane McGregor Earle. He was married to Jessie Sullivan on June 23, 1906. Mr. Earle was of Baptist and had been a successful farmer.

Surviving are five sons, Travis Earle, H. B. Earle and Eldon Earle of Campbell; Orville Earle of Lone Oak, and E. D. Earle, Weinart, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Bristol, Elizabethton, Tenn., and Mrs. Robbie Tregsika, Lake View, Oregon; three brothers and two sisters, Max Earle, Campbell; E. J. Earle, Oklahoma and Kenneth Earle, New Mexico, Mrs. Lucy Jordan, California; Mrs. Vashti Griggs, Guyman, Oklahoma, and nine grandchildren. One son, Weldon Earle, preceded him in death January 28, 1926, and five brothers and one sister also preceded him in death.
