Lisa Poper Whitehouse Banner died in England on this past Fourth of July, 2006. She was the widow of former Greenville resident B. B. “Bill” Banner Jr. , a petroleum engineer. She leaves a son Frank Whitehouse, his wife and their daughter Rebecca. Knowing that her cancer was fatal, she sent Bill's ashes to the Forest Park Cemetery. She had kept them with her for 20 years. On Bill’s birthday, July 8, the Banner family met at the cemetery to honor Bill and Lisa.
