Bobby D. Chaney

Bobby D. Chaney, 50, a minister of Colorado City, died at 11:24 AM, Thursday, July 19, 1984, at the Hamlin Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. Services were at 2:30 PM, Saturday, July 21, 1984, at the Christian Fellowship Church with Frank Hammond of Plainview and Jimmie Low of Muleshoe officiating under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Born on September 20, 1933, in Celeste, where he finished high school in 1953, he was married to Claudine Foley on July 4, 1958, in Greenville. He was a veteran of the Korean War, had lived in Colorado City for fifteen years, and was pastor of Christian Fellowship Church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Joy Chaney, of the home; two sons, Larry Don Chaney and John David Chaney, both of the home; a sister, Mrs. Bill Waddle of Greenville; a brother, Malcolm Chaney of Seaside Heights, New Jersey; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jake Chaney, Vick Chambers, Ray Pearce, Don Turner, Wayne Brown, Ted Weaver, Melvin Smith, V. W. Matlock, and Bill Stanley.
