Bob Holmes, 60 of Point, died at his residence on Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at Peters Funeral Home chapel 10 a.m. today with Mr. Richard Fox officiating. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. He was born on Sept. 22, 1946, the son of James T. and Margie E. (Motes) Holmes in Greenville. On Sept.1, 1967, he married Linda Mitchell in Price. He retired as a manufacturing supervisor. He is survived by his wife, Linda of Point; a son, Phillip Holmes and wife, Shelly of Van Alstyne; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents. Andy McDonald, Ken Hale, Shel Gunnels, Jerry Flud, Howard Curtis, and Billy Howard are pallbearers. Honarary pallbearer is Sammy Green.
