William A. Burns

Funeral services for William A. Burns, 91, were held at 3:30 PM, Sunday, July 5, 1953, in the Kingston Church of Christ. Officiating was J. C. Hollis, minister of the Church. Interment under the direction of James-Coker-Peters Funeral Home, was made in Mount Carmel Cemetery at Celeste. Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Mr. Burns, a native of Illinois, was born on January 13, 1862. He had lived at Kingston for the past fifty-five years and was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Kingston Church of Christ.

Survivors include four sons, Charlie Burns and Joe Burns of Celeste; Clyde Burns, Leonard Burns, and Fred Burns of Kingston; three daughters, Miss Mary Burns of Kingston, Mrs. Susie Waller of Celeste, and Mrs. C. B. Gregory of Pampa; thirty-three grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.
