Funeral Services for Dexter E Converse of Greenville will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Louise Welch and Rev. Gene Welburn officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Mr. Converse died Wednesday.

He was born March 30, 1902 in Five Mile Prairie, Okla., son of Dexter D. Converse Sr. and Molly Mitchiner Dunkin. He married Sarah "Sally" Frances Inabinette on July 15, 1922 in the Wieland Community. He was a car inspector for Cottonbelt Railroad. Mrl. Converse was a member of the Westview Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of Greenville, a daughter-in-law, Katherine Converse of Greenville, a daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Harold Bell of Dallas, sisters-in-law Oleta Inabinette of Greenville and Mary Nell Converse of Nederland: grand children Deborah and Everette Logan of Bedford, Sharon and Johnny Stubbs of Bethany, Okla., Brad and Vicki Bell of Dallas and Dean and Kim Converse of Greenville and great-grandchildren Ryan Richey, Joshua Stubbs, Chasta Logan, Crystal Bell, Natalie Bell, Nichole Bell, Trey Logan, Sarah Stubbs, Cody Converse, Jenna Stubbs, Courtney Converse and Brock Bell.

He was proceeded in death by a son Billy Edward Converse: two brothers and two sisters.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons: Dean Converse, Everett Logan, Brad Bell, Johnny Stubbs, Ryan Richey, Trey Logan. Joshua Stubbs, Cody Converse, and Brock Bell.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Note: error in obit says Dexter was the son of Dexter D. Converse, Sr.. It should be Dexter E. Converse, Sr.
