Marvin Cowser
Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 19, 1952, at the Celeste Baptist Church for Marvin Cowser, 59, well-known Hunt County farmer who died Friday afternoon, October 17, 1953, at his home in the Crescent community.
Officiating were the Rev. Jim Hudson of Blue Ridge and the Rev. A. W. Cunningham of Celeste. Burial was made in the Merit Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Morris Babers, Calvin Stapleton, Charles Fugitt, Earnest Brazil, Lee McCorstin, and Wallace McDonald.
Mr. Cowser is survived by his wife; a brother, Vollie Day (Cowser) of Emory; two sisters, Mrs. Christene Shipp of RR 2, Greenville; and Mrs. Lorene Kirkley of Tyler.
