J. H. Curtis

Funeral services for J. H. Curtis of Wolfe City and former longtime resident of the Celeste and Kingston area and well-known through this section were held at the R. W. Owens and Son Funeral Chapel at Wolfe City on Sunday, December 13, 1953.

Interment was made at Mount Carmel Cemetery east of Wolfe City.

Officiating at the last rites were Bro. Dotson, Wolfe City Church of Christ minister, the Rev. L. B. Morgan, pastor of the Baptist Church at Como, the Rev. G. B. Bailey of the Wolfe City Baptist Church, and the Rev. W. H. Vail, Wolfe City Methodist pastor. Graveside rites were in charge of Miller Lodge No. 224 of Celeste of which the deceased was a longtime member.

Curtis, who was 67, was a member of the Church of Christ and the Masonic Lodge.
