Dorothy Attison, 89, of Longview, formerly of Greenville, died the afternoon of Jan. 22, 2007, at Longview Regional Hospital. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Friday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel in Greenville with Thomas Hogland officiating. Burial is in Memoryland Memorial Park.

Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Born Jan. 16, 1918, in Lone Oak, she was the daughter of E.B. and Mary Etta Roberts Sheltman. She was married to Harold Attison Sr. on Dec. 18,1936, in Lone Oak.

Mrs. Attison retired from retail sales. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors are two daughters and sons-in-law, Kitty and Thomas Hogland and Mary Lou and Bill Billingsley, all of Longview; a daughter-in-law, Millye Attison of Greenville; grandchildren, Harris and wife Michelle Billingsley, Jay and wife Tasha Attison, Tonya Hogland Roberts and husband Jon, Matt Billingsley, Tammy Hogland Castro-LeDuc and husband Gilberto; great-grandchildren Brettenie Roberts, Shelby Roberts, Elizabeth Attison, Banoo Hermosilla, Keanu Castro-LeDuc, Tommy Castro-LeDuc and Bella DiVerdi; special niece Judy Sanders; several nieces and nephews and a host of many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Harold Attison Jr.; granddaughter Becky Hogland DiVerdi; and a great-grandson, Andrew Attison.

Pallbearers are Stenson Sanders, Harris Billingsley, Jay Attison, Matt Billingsley and Thomas Hogland.
