Elvin Leon Jackson

Leonard--Funeral services for Elvin Leon Jackson, 69, of Leonard, will be at 2:30 PM, today, at the Trenton Church of Christ where he was a member.

Grady Langford will officiate and burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery. Mr. Jackson died Monday afternoon, August, 1973, in a Leonard nursing home.

He as born on November 9, 1903, in Celeste, the son of John Jackson and Julia Dickerson Jackson. He was married to Myrtle Burns in Celeste on November 26, 1923, and she preceded him in death in March of this year (1973). Mr. Jackson was a retired employee of Schellenberger Construction Company of Sherman.

Survivors are his step-mother, Mrs. Agnes Jackson of Atlas, Oklahoma; two sons, J. T. Jackson of Leonard and Darwin Jackson of Dallas; a daughter, Mrs. Elva Jo Savage of McKinney; four brothers, Benny Jackson of Mangum, Oklahoma, and Willard Jackson, Gene Jackson, and Joe Jackson of Atlas, Oklahoma; two sisters, Mrs. Elmer Ooten (sic) of Denton and Mrs. George Martinex of Long Island, New York; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
