Mrs. Emma Patterson Byers
Mrs. John Byers a life long resident of Celeste died at 1:45 AM, Saturday, at her home following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, in the Celeste Methodist Church. The Rev. Albert Click and the Rev. H. B. Gideon will officiate. Interment will be in the Celeste Cemetery.
Coker-Mathews-Peters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born on June 12, 1888, in Kingston, Mrs. Byers was the daughter of Albert Patterson and Hattie Hefner Patterson. She was a member of the Celeste Methodist Church and was married to John Byers on April 13, 1935, in Celeste.
Survivors include her husband; one sister, Mrs. Jewel Perkins of Celeste; and several nieces and nephews. One sister and one brother preceded her in death.
The remains will rest at the family home in Celeste until the hour for the service.
