Erman Price Carnagey, 82, of Greenville died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2006, at his residence. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, 3006, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Bryant Sears and Rev. Kevin Herbert officiating. Burial, with full military honors, is in Memoryland Memorial Park. Mr. Carnagey was born April 13, 1924, in Hominy, Okla.; the son of C.E. and Lucinda Jane Walden Carnagey. He married Rudene Rush on Sept. 15, 1945, in Comanche. Mr. Carnagey was a retired major in the U.S. Army. He was manager with the state comptroller and a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Rudene Carnagey, of Greenville; son and daughter-in-law, David Erman and Patricia Carnagey of Greenville; daughter, Catherine Faye Inman of Sherman; brother and wife, Richard and Beppie Carnagey of Denison; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Chester, Audry, Kenneth and Ray Carnagey; son-in-law, George Inman in 2005; and sisters, Helen Johnson and Myrle Hatfield. Pallbearers are Bobby Carnagey, Jared Emmerson, Joe Martin, Jeff Nelson, Barry Robinson and Brad Rush. Memorials may be made to the Ridgecrest Baptist Church Benevolence Fund. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
