Harriett Evelyn Collins

Harriett Evelyn Collins was born in Chanute, Kans. on Jan. 14, 1919 to John Wesley and Addie Nance Collins. She moved to Greenville as a child and spent most of her life there. She worked as an accountant for the Herald-Banner for 40 years. After retirement, she lived in Denton and then Flower Mound. She was and active member of the Kavanaugh Methodist Church until she moved from Greenville. She preceded in death by her aunt Marcia Nance, her sister Mary Springsteen, and her brother Walter F. Collins, all of Greenville. Surviving are two nephews, Walter F. Collins Jr. of Flower Mound and Terry Wayne Collins of Atlanta, Georgia. Graveside services are at East Mount Cemetery at 3 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2006 with Rev. Jim Goodwin officiating. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
