Ira Eunice Turner, 98, of Greenville, died Friday, March 9, 2007, at Park Haven Nursing Center. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Coker-Mathews Chapel with Rev. Bill Shaddox officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.

She was born Oct. 29, 1908, in Dulaney, Tex., to George W. Johnson and Myrtle Duanna Nix. She married Frank Glasscock on Nov. 9, 1927, in Hunt County. He preceded her in death in 1944. She married Charlie Turner on Jan. 3, 1948, in Celeste. He preceded her in death in 1962. She worked as a seamstress for Haggar Slacks and was a member of Salem-Kinser United Methodist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Shirley Jones of Mabank, Glenda Rice of Emory and Joyce Coleman of Hunstville; a son, Robert Glasscock of Floyd; a brother, Byron Johnson of Merit; a twin sister, Inez Taft of Greenville; a sister, Beatrice Coppinger of Dallas; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by seven sisters and six brothers.

Pallbearers are Wesley Gray, Roger Hooten, Nathaniel Hooten, Mike Willis, Larry Johnson, Donnie Johnson and Corey Jerry.
