Jerri Faye Miller Compton
Jerri Faye Compton, 64, of Greenville died Thursday, June 21, 2007, at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 24, 2007, at Highland Terrace Baptist Church under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Officiating are the Rev. Larry Jordan, the Rev. Royce Litchfield and the Rev. Victor Gore. Burial is in Celeste Cemetery.
The daughter of Johnny and Alma Henderson Miller, she was born June 2, 1943, in Greenville. She was married to Dave Compton in Greenville.
Mrs. Compton was administrative assistant for the director of Human Resources and at Scott, Singleton and Fincher accounting firm. She was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of Greenville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie and Billy Alexander of Pace, Florida., and Shanna and Jeff Humphrey of Rockwall; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Peter Vogel of Irvine, California, and Mary Don and Ron Womack; grandsons Justin Alexander and Jake Alexander of Pace, Florida, and Parker Humphrey and Brynden Humphrey of Rockwall; a granddaughter, Jessie Compton of Greenville; and a step-son and wife, Gerald and Leah Compton.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Pallbearers are Don Earl Williams, Sim Williams, Rowdy Payne, Tracy Payne, Bart Millard and Stephen Millard.
