Jesse (Jeff) Lee Bryant, 84, of Greenville died at 12:05 a.m. on Dec. 8., at his residence. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Chapel with Rev. Tommy Weems and Rev. James Pippin officiating. Burial is at Memoryland Memorial Park.

Born Aug. 9, 1922, in Annona, Texas, he was the son of William Wesley and Zadie Parchman Bryant. He married Maribeth Head on Nov. 19, 1968, in Greenville. He was a W.W.II veteran and served in the U. S. Army Air Force.

Mr. Bryant was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone after 46 years, six months and 16 days. He was a member of Park Street Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge, 100F.

He is survived by his wife, Maribeth Head Bryant of Greenville; son and daughter-in-law Phillip and Gail May of Greenville; son and daughter-in-law Duane and Carrie May of Greenville; grandchildren April Scott of Frisco and Landon May, Jordan May, Jessica May, Jenna May and Jefferey May, all of Greenville; one great-grandchild Caden Scott of Frisco; and sister-in-law Elnora Byrant of Greenville and sister-in-law Folley Bryant of Annona, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Ben Bryant and Wesley Bryant.

Pallbearers are Snikles Bryant, Benji Bryant, Scooter Bryant, Sean Tredway, Ricky Blackshear, Randy Blackshear, Paul Scott and Mike Warren. Honorary pallbearers are Sonny Bridges, Dr. James Nicholson, James Bland and Jack Wall.
