John Henry Graham

Funeral services for John Henry Graham, pioneer Hunt County resident, who died early Sunday morning, April 19, 1931, at his home at Caddo Mills, were held at 3:00 PM Monday, April 20, 1931, from the Christian Church at Caddo Mills. Services conducted by the Rev. Leo Johnston, pastor of the Central Christian Church of this city. Burial followed in the IOOF Cemetery at Caddo Mills.

Mr. Graham was born in Arkansas on January 1, 1858, and in 1887 moved with his family to Caddo Mills where he resided until his death. He was united in marriage to Amy Susan Yeager on October 23, 1897, and she together with four sons and three daughters survive.

They are: W. A. Graham of Houston, Bryon H. Graham of San Antonio, Bruce L. Graham of Dallas, George W. Graham of Dallas, Mrs. E. C. Buchanan of Caddo Mills, Mrs. F. M. Frazier of Bokchito, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren; and numerous other relatives also survive.

Mr. Graham was one of the most progressive citizens of the Caddo Mills community and during the forty-four years he was a resident of that place he was always found ready to help in any movement that was for the betterment of his community. He was a splendid Christian gentleman and was held in high esteem by all who knew him. He was honest in his dealing with his fellowman.
