WOLFE CITY — Margie Burns went home June 5, 2006, to be with her parents, four brothers and two sisters in heaven. Margie was born March 8, 1926, in Merkel, daughter of Charlie Lewis and Josie Hassey Burns. She worked with Home Health Care and was a member of Kingston Baptist Church. She was a loving daughter, sister and above all, mother to Dee, and will be missed by everyone. Survivors are a daughter, Dee Burns of Celeste; one grandbaby, Skeeter; special niece and nephew Paul Ray Sanders and Tammy Sanders Kemp; two sisters, Doris Fouse of Rockwall and Rosemary Martin of Wolfe City; numerous nieces and nephews; and a number of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Blunt, J.R. Sanders, Coy Martin, Garland Smith, Paul Ray Sanders and Jeff Martin. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home chapel in Wolfe City with Rev. Jim Houston officiating. Burial will follow at Celeste Cemetery in Celeste. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
