Mrs. D. A. Ellis Dies at Daughter's Home
GREENVILLE MESSENGER -- Thursday February 16, 1933 -- Mrs. D. A. Ellis, 77, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Patterson, 3530 Caddo Street, at 5 o'clock last Tuesday afternoon after a protracted illness. Funeral services were held at the home with interment following in Sullivan Cemetery.
Mrs. Ellis was born in Mississippi and came to Texas with her parents when a small girl. For the last 31 years she had lived in Hunt county. She had been an invalid for a number of years.
For over forty years she had been a member of the Baptist Church and was an ardent Christian.
Surviving are the following children. Mrs. A. B. Head, and Mrs. Ollie Ellis of Houston; Dave Ellis of Cone, N.M.; Mrs. W. W. Gross of Snyder, Texas and Mrs. John Patterson of this city.
