Mrs. G. L. Gregory
Mrs. G. L. Gregory, 49, a native of Hunt County, died suddenly at 11:10 PM on Thursday at her home, 3014 Pickett Street.
Funeral arrangements had not been completed at an early hour this (Friday) morning. The body will remain at the James Coker-Peters Funeral Home until arrangements are made.
Mrs. Gregory was born on January 6, 1900, near Celeste, the daughter of Jimmy Payne and Martha McCormack Payne. She was reared in the Celeste community and was married to G. L. Gregory in August of 1916. She had made her home in Greenville for the past eighteen years.
She was a member of the Pentecostal Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband; one son, Coy L. Gregory of Greenville; and one daughter, Mrs. D. B. Husky of Greenville; four sisters, Mrs. Polly Osborn, Mrs. S. M. Roddy, and Mrs. Fred Smith, all of Greenville, and Mrs. Eva Trusty of Corpus Christi; and five grandchildren.
