Mrs. Richard Brown

Mrs. Brown, 49, Dies in Hospital; Rites Wednesday

Mrs. Richard Brown, 49, of 2166 Henson, a resident here for nine years, died at 4 p.m. Monday at Hendrick Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

Funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott's Chapel of Memories, with the Rev. Lloyd McIntosh, assembly of God minister from Seymour, officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Born May 16, 1913, in Quinlan, Tex.. Mrs Brown married Richard Brown Sept. 19, 1931 in Trinidad, Tex. They moved to Benjamin after their marriage and lived there until moving to Abilene about 1954.

Mr. Brown is a carpenter. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Surviving are her husband; her parents, Mr. and Mrs.* John Hickson of Dallas; three daughters, Mrs. E. D. Dawkins of 1842 Jefferies, Abilene, Mrs. L. E. Hickson of 1849 Jefferies, Abilene and Mrs. D. L. Rowan of 2166 Henson, Abilene; two sons, Don L. of 751 Park, Abilene, and C. E. of 2149 Henson; three sisters, Mrs. Roy Sells of Sweetwater, Mrs. Sam R. Bailey of Dallas and Mrs Lloyd Gilintine of Fort Worth; four brothers, N. E. Hickson of Texarkana, Lonnie Hickson of Texarkana, Jim Hickson of Dallas and H. S. Hickson of Dallas, 13 grandchildren.
