Mrs. S. E. Hudson

Greenville Morning Herald -- Sunday, April 20, 1947 -- Mrs. S. E. Hudson, 66, former Hunt County resident, died Friday night at 11:30 in a hospital in Crowell, Texas, following an illness of two months duration. Mrs. Hudson, who lived in the Campbell community many years; had made her home in Chillicothe, Texas since May, 1945.

The body will lie in state at the Gray-Ballard-Sorrell Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements, and funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Cambell Baptist Church. Rev. Fred Moore will officiate, and burial will be in Sullivan Cemetery.

Mrs. Kizzie E. Hudson was born on July 23, 1880, in Savage, Fannin County, Texas, the daughter of Alex Gilbreath and Floella Bradberry Gilbreath. She came to Hunt County locating in the Cambell community, when she was 14 years old.

She was married to S. E. Hudson in 1894 in Greenville, and they moved to West Texas in 1934, and in May 1945 settled in Chillicothe. S

he was a member of the Cambell Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, four sons, John Hudson, of Granberry; Frank Hudson, of Crowell; Aaron Hudson and Allen Hudson, both of Wichita Falls; eight daughters, Mrs. Myrtie Isham, of Campbell; Mrs. Emma Grant, Fort Worth; Mrs. Flora Monroe, Crowell; Miss Elder Hudson, Fort Worth; Mrs. Maggie DeWitt, Fort Worth; Mrs. Ethel Dunning, Fort Worth; Mrs. Elizabeth Tyler, Cooledge, Ariz.; and Mrs. Bessie Cearley, Wichita Falls; one brother, Henry Gilbreath, who resides in Oklahoma; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Forline and Mrs. Girtie Foman, both of California; a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives.
