Myrtle Caroline Tillery Hare, 94, of Greenville died early in the morning on Nov. 9, 2006, at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Ken Hare officiating. Burial is in Memoryland Memorial Park. The daughter of John Alvin and Virgie Gertrude Stewart, she was born Jan. 18, 1912, in Pontotoc County, Okla. She was married to Mark L. Hare on Dec. 24, 1926, in Perry, Okla.

Mrs. Hare was a homemaker and was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Ken H. and Evelyn Hare of Greenville; a brother, John Tillery of Longview; sisters Margaret Loverchek of Torrington, Wyo., and Mildred Hall of Corpus Christi; grandchildren and their spouses Larry Land, Gary Land, Darlene Land Pettis, Richard Land, Cathy Bracken, Lynn Hicks and Mark Hare; 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Louise Land; brother Delbert Tillery; and a sister, Stella Mae Sieler. Pallbearers are Larry Land, Gary Land, Richard Land, Mark Land, Matthew Land, John Pettis, Chris Bracken, Gary Hicks, and Mark Hare.

Visitation is from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
