Mrs. M. O. Earle Succumbs Tuesday

Greenville Morning Herald -- January 6, 1954 -- Mrs. M. O. Earle, 70, a life-long resident of the Sullivan community, near Campbell, died at 3:45 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred DeWees.

Death followed an illness of five weeks duration.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Caney Methodist Church, with Rev. Edwin McDaniel, of Liberty and Rev. Fred Moore, of Ardis Heights, officiating. Burial will be in the Sullivan cemetery.

The body will be taken to the home of Mrs. DeWees this afternoon to rest until the hour of the service.

Arrangement are in charge of Gray-Sorrells Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: L. A. Foote, J.D. Moore, I. E. Green, M. B. Chaffin, L. A. Dewees and H. S. Dewees.

Mrs. Earle, the former Nancy E. Sullivan, was born on Nov. 17, 1883 in the Sullivan community, in Hunt County, the daughter of John Sullivan and Alma Rucker Sullivan. She had always lived in the Sullivan community and was prominent in church and community affairs through out her life. She had been a member of the Caney Methodist church since early in life.

She was married to M. O. Earle on December 22, 1902 in the Sullivan community.

Surviving are her husband, one son, John Earle, Rt. 1, Greenville; one daughter, Mrs. Fred Dewees, Rt. 1 Campbell; four grandchildren; one brother, Tom Sullivan, Wichita Falls. Two children preceded her in death.
