WOLFE CITY — Rubye Mae Green, 89, of Wolfe City died Friday, Dec. 22, 2006, at Presbyterian Hospital of Commerce. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Kevin Mitchell officiating. Burial is in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Mrs. Green was born May 14, 1917, In Celeste; the daughter of Claude and Estelle Addington Sumrow. She was married to Carl “Tip” Green on Oct. 20, 1942, in San Diego, Calif.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Wolfe City.
Surviving are son-in-law, Larry Macon of Sherman; granddaughter and husband, Holly and Matt Bronstad of Austin; grandson and wife, Trent and Jamie Macon of Sherman; grandson, Ryan Macon of Austin; three great-grandsons, Rhett and Reed Bronstad and Collin Macon; and one sister, Jean Asbill of Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Herschel, Ellis and Doug Sumrow; and daughter, Donna Macon.
Visitation is from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday before the service at the funeral home.
